Description
The program focuses entirely on teams of entrepreneurs, the majority of whom belong to universities (whether they are students, researchers, or professors) who want to develop their ideas into a real business model and create startup companies. The program consists of different stages in which training courses, guidance and counseling services are provided.
The competition includes two tracks:
the students’ track and
the researchers’ track.
Privileges That Joint Teams And Companies Will Receive
Guidance and counseling: Obtain regular guidance and counseling sessions during the program period through a strong network of leading business experts in Egypt.
Training programs: Attending multiple training programs such as design thinking, project management, team management, financial management, presentation and presentation skills, and funding
Awards and funding: Each of the winning startups will receive financing of 500,000 Egyptian pounds, in addition to a package of services worth up to 500,000 pounds. Qualifying for the second season of the GenZ program is expected to take place in October 2024.
Networking and relationships: Forming a strong network of relationships through the partners of the Innovators and Geniuses Fund and communicating with entrepreneurship and innovation experts and investors.
Project development: Gaining practical skills and experiences, in addition to presenting ideas to entrepreneurship and innovation experts, which makes the applicant more able to evaluate his idea.
Advertising and promotion: Through our national public relations campaign and local publicity campaign, innovations will be showcased and seen by millions of users and consumers.
Conditions For Participating In The Competition
In order for the team (startup) to be eligible to apply for the competition, the team must meet the following criteria:
First path:
50% of the team (start-up company) must be students enrolled in the bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree at one of the Egyptian universities.
The team should consist of 2-6 people.
To provide a team with an official letter from the university stating that the students are enrolled in the team.
It will be an additional factor if the team includes female members.
The electronic copy of the project submitted and uploaded to the competition platform must contain the following information:
an accurate description of the project idea
the beneficiary or target group
the return from implementing the idea
a business model + implementation steps
the expected outputs/results of the project
the required estimated budget To implement the project
implementation partners, if there is any
whether or not there is a prototype of the project
a video not exceeding 3 minutes. PDFs and Videos are highly required
The team leader must create an account for himself on the competition platform to register on it, upload all the data of his team members, as well as the electronic files related to the submitted project, and follow his email periodically during the stages of the competition to receive the emails and notifications received from the competition organizing committee and notify all his team members of them.
The team must not be participating in another local competition when applying, or participate in another local competition during the period of the team’s admission to the Olympics.
Second path:
50% of the team (start-up company) must be faculty members, research staff members, researchers, or graduate students at one of the Egyptian universities or research centers.
The team should consist of 2-6 people.
To provide a team with an official letter from the university or research center stating that the faculty members, research staff members, or researchers in the team belong to it.
It will be an additional factor if the team includes female members.
The electronic copy of the project submitted and uploaded to the competition platform must contain the following information:
