A pan-African programme called Investing in Innovation Africa (i3) supports startups constructing the healthcare supply chains of the future. The commercialization of 60 promising early-stage firms is supported by i3, which is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and sponsored by AmerisourceBergen, Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD), Microsoft, and Chemonics. To promote the expansion and impact of start-ups, the programme links African supply chain innovators with donors, businesses, and governmental partners.
Programme Elements
Market Access: To create collaborations and pilot initiatives that promote impact and scalability, the I3 Matchmaking Programme and Signature Event connect innovators closer to important figures in local and global business, financial institutions, funders, and governments.
Risk-tolerant financing: I3 regularly awards $50,000 grants to all enrolled businesses. This adaptable financing is offered to satisfy important business needs.
Investment readiness support: i3 provides participating startups with tailored investment support, provided by leading innovation experts at CCHub, Startupbootcamp AfriTech, Villgro Africa, and IMPACT Lab.
