TANDEM AMWAJ SEED FUNDING-CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Description

Collective Routes is delighted to announce its collaboration with MitOst e.V. spin-off company zusa to launch a small-scale grants scheme for Egyptian youth-led initiatives working in the field of arts and culture. The grant aims to support 5 initiatives.

The grants scheme will include the following:

  • Seed funding equivalent to 3000 EUR for each Initiative

  • Technical support driven by initiatives’ needs assessment

  • Networking with different actors from the arts and culture sector

  • A closing event where each initiative will showcase the results of its project and receive feedback from practitioners and other stakeholders from the arts and culture sector

Criteria

We are looking for Egyptian informal youth-led initiatives that have been working for at least one year and have implemented at least one project with a similar budget.

The selection process comprises an application form, which can be filled in English or Arabic, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an online interview.

The grant scheme will be implemented between November 2023 and May 2024.

This call is part of the Tandem Amwaj programme, a civil society-led project co-designed and implemented by 4 partner organisations (Tandem programme alumni) coordinated by zusa in the MENA region working on creating safe and creative environments for independent narrative discourses. By supporting culture-led engagement actions and actors, this program aims at promoting civil society participation in local development practices, growing space for different forms of expression and a sense of belonging to be performed despite the pressuring contexts (political and economic) across Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia.

Deadline

The application package should include a completed application form and attached to it the project budget and timeline.

You can download the budget and timeline template from here: https://shorturl.at/gFJZ8
