Due to the increasing importance of the creative economy and its role in promoting sustainable development, the United Nations, during the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in 2019, declared the year 2021 as the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development.

It aims to outline shared visions that accelerate sustainable economic growth based on innovation and creativity. Additionally, it will showcase national efforts to create a nurturing environment for the creative and knowledge economy, mechanisms for developing policies and legislation, and drivers that accelerate its localization in Egypt, while identifying opportunities and challenges for the business community to achieve this goal.
The summit sessions will also address reshaping workforce capabilities and their role in supporting sustainability plans and integrating into the pathways of the creative and knowledge economy by developing training programs and enhancing human resources skills, as well as setting appropriate standards for employee selection to achieve desired institutional goals and incorporating innovation into business plans.
