The Shell Climate-Smart Agriculture Challenge seeks to identify and support top start-up and scale-up innovators driving the global shift to climate-smart agriculture practices. The challenge is in line with Shell's Powering Progress” strategy as well as the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
The challenge's primary goal is to identify and promote innovations that assist farmers in:
ENHANCE LAND SOLUTIONS that promote carbon sequestration and emissions avoidance while improving soil health
CONNECT FARMS provides solutions to improve farm connectivity in order to gain access to carbon markets and carbon financing.
MEASURE SOIL Soil carbon, soil health, and greenhouse gas emissions can all be measured and quantified.
The Climate-Smart Agriculture Challenge is open to start-ups and scale-ups globally.
