YOUTH INTERFAITH LEADERS FELLOWSHIP ON CLIMATE CHANGE (2025)

Description

This fully-funded, week-long fellowship is designed for young leaders committed to climate action inspired by their faith. If you are ready to deepen your understanding of how faith intersects with environmental stewardship and community leadership, this fellowship is for you.

Twenty-five exceptional young people will be selected to participate in this transformative experience. You’ll engage in a rigorous curriculum led by experts in religious studies, climate change, cross-cultural relations, media, and community work. This program is an opportunity to build trust and understanding across faiths, cultures, and sectors while equipping yourself with the tools to lead impactful climate action projects in your community.

Upon completing the fellowship, you will become part of the FFOP Fellowship Alumni Association, providing ongoing opportunities to participate in regional events, campaigns, and collaborative projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Looking for a diverse group of 25 participants who meet the following criteria:

  • Aged between 20 to 30 years.

  • Have education, volunteer, or professional experience related to climate change, religion, community leadership, or similar fields.

  • Have access to or willingness to mobilize local networks.

  • Proficient in English.

Participant Expectations

As a fellow, you are expected to:

  • Fully commit to the fellowship’s duration, including any pre- or post-fellowship activities.

  • Develop and implement a faith-based community climate action project.

  • Show enthusiasm for learning and networking.

  • Actively engage in FFOP Youth Alumni Association’s activities post-fellowship.

Timeline

  • Applications Open: August 5th, 2024

  • Application Deadline: August 31st, 2024

  • Interview Cycle: November 10th – December 31st, 2024

  • Fellowship Dates: May 24th – 30th, 2025
