About GENF mentorship program
GenF is a 3-months mentorship programme by UNFPA and Startups Without Borders. The program will offer online group sessions and individual mentorship tailored to women entrepreneurs working in the fields of reproductive health, gender equality, and women and girls empowerment.
To participate in the mentorship programme, female entrepreneurs from the Arab States will need to be working in one of the following UNFPA-aligned areas:
Access to menstrual products
Adolescent and youth empowerment/leadership
Ageing and rights of older people
Community education/awareness raising on sexual and reproductive health
Comprehensive sexuality education
Family planning
Gender norms changing
Human rights and gender equality
Harmful practices (i.e., gender-based violence, female-genital mutilation)
Livelihoods and socioeconomic inclusion of women
Menstrual health and hygiene
Midwifery and reproductive health
Poverty
Statistics/population data
Eligibility Criteria
Women & Girls-led startup founders from Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Gulf Cooperation Council, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen.
Addressing challenges aligned with UNFPA's mission.
Applicants must commit to dedicating 2 hours per week from September 1st to November 30th.
