The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the School of Business at the American University in Cairo is currently implementing the Women’s Economic Empowerment - Supporting Entrepreneurship project, which aims to reduce the gender gap in the field of Egyptian entrepreneurship, which comes within the framework of the joint program “Women’s Economic Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth in Egypt is a "winner", which is being implemented by UN Women Egypt and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) UNIDO Egypt, in partnership with the National Council for Women, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Egypt's projects, the Enterprise Development Agency - Msme, with the support of the government. Benefits
The project included virtual trainings (in Arabic) to raise the skills of 600 female entrepreneurs. The trainings will focus on topics related to entrepreneurship such as e-marketing, business incubators and accelerators, various financing sources, how to achieve profits, women’s leadership in entrepreneurship, and financial knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria
To be an entrepreneur
You must have an existing project for at least one year
Residents of the following governorates: Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Buhaira, Minya, Beni Suef or Fayoum
Computer proficiency
Participants must have internet access for the duration of the program
